Yes - it's crazy - they've changed the sign!
But why?
After the initial shock, I considered going in to express my disappointment with the new name, possibly threatening a boycott until they changed it back. Not that I have anything against the revised monicker per se, but I liked the playfulness of the old name. If it ain't broke, why fix it? Now, going with the assumption that it is the same company as Noodle Inn, in takeaway mode (I'm pretty sure it is, cos even the typeface is the same), then it is a playful use of language. Read it deeper, and it's imploring you to 'Noodle Out' i.e. to pig out, on noodles. And you take them out. Works on so many levels (well 3).
However, even then it had the patronising qualifier 'to take' squeezed inbetween the 'Noodle' and the 'Out'. Do they think we're thick? That we wouldn't have spotted the connection? That we might think they were out of noodles?
Noodle Love just sounds weird. I'm sure there's a porno out there with a fat german woman stuffing noodles into every available...
ahem.
Family forum.
But seriously, unless they're gonna change the name of Noodle Inn to Noodle Love, then I can't see what the point is.
BTW, both are wicked, and I recommend anyone to go. Make sure you tell them the old name was better though.
