I may be going on a Bike Rally end of Nov .....Went to the same site ( Lumb Farm Nr Ripley several years ago ...150 Bikers in a field covered in 6 inches of Snow )..Brrr :)

We went a couple years ago last weekend of September by day gorgeous by night ... sorry can't think about it brrrr. Remember the thermals to sleep in!

We're thinking of camping next week.... everyting in our backpacks :)
It'll be lovely to get some quiet on the campsite (as we're not supposed to camp on the hills round here ;) ).

We're off to Buxton tomorrow. Us and grandson in our caravan and our son and fiancee in the tent. He would normally have towed their van out as well but he has a broken wrist so can't drive.

I've spent the day in the kitchen churning out a massive cottage pie, french apple tarts and halloween cupcakes. I also made pumpkin soup yesterday so that will save me a lot of cooking in the van over the weekend.

It looks like the weather is going to be fairly good as well.....dry anyhow. Not bothered about the cold because our van is fully winterised and also has blown air heating. The youngsters in the tent can keep themselves warm. lol. By the sounds of it though it won't be too chilly.

I'm really looking forward to this weekend. We tow out tomorrow evening (Friday) and back home on Sunday. Wish it could be longer.
Plans for saturday are a bit vague just now with lots of ideas thrown into the pot. No doubt we'll all agree on something tomorrow evening as we chill out with a load of good food and a couple of bottles of the white stuff. :love:

we had fab weekend, that good we ended up staying 4 nights, daytime was pleasent, did get chilly at night but we have radiator in van and consumsed enough alcohol to not notice the cold......whitby is very beautiful even in october : )
