Is anyone else constantly getting 'Searching For Listings' when they use the Sky TV Guide function? I've tried the usual method of switching the digibox off for a while then trying again but it doesn't work. From what I've googled, it seems there may or may not be a problem with the current Sky software, especially on Panasonic digiboxes. I have a Thomson digibox downstairs on Sky+ which is fine so just seeing if I'm not alone with this problem.

YES! Sometimes it works, sometimes not. I thought my skybox was on the way out.

Same here, and a colleague at work is in teh same boat.

I was talked through re-initialising the software listings by a Sky engineer on Sunday, but it soon failed again. A second call indicated that the problem is something to do with some software changes that Sky have carried out. Our Digibox is a Panasonic one, and apparently they're suffering particularly badly. :(

We now have a sheet of paper near the TV with channel numbers on it and go to teh channels required by typing the numbers in to the remote.

Give the monthly subscription fee we pay, one would hope that Sky would test their software before putting it live....

Somehow I've just found this post on ureader.co.uk

Same problems experienced here. Tried all the usual re-boot scenarios,
but no joy. Listened to Sky music on hold for a good 15 minutes, but
before they confirmed a problem with Panasonic boxes (like mine). There
is no fix date, but apparently (Sky quote) "our engineers are working
on it". I asked if this had anything to do with the launch of the new
personal favourites page as recently advertised. Sky declined to
comment!

There is also a similar thread in Sky's customer support area but so far Sky themselves have not issued any comment whatsoever

Yeah, we have been getting the "Searching for Listings" message on and off this past few days. Incredibly annoying! Ours is a Panasonic box too.

getting the same problems on both our boxes, but they tend to appear a few minutes later.

it's all down to the software upgrade, heard a few weeks ago there may be problems with it, and they still released it
