The Curse of JoeP strikes again!

I've been watching the series 'Threshold' on Sky One for the last couple of months - sort of The X Files meets 'The Invaders' (only folks of a certain age will remember the latter) and whilst not perfect it was, IMO, pretty good.

So I was well peeved tonight to find that the US networks canned it. And tonight was last episode. All these nice story arcs left high and dry. Grrrr......

Now the curse. Over the years I've enjoyed :

Dark Skies - pulled early.
Firefly - pulled early.
Star Trek : Enterprise - pulled early.
Futurama - pulled early.
Family Guy - pulled early.

If anyone wants a TV programme removing from air, tell me what it is and I'll start watching it.... :)

And just in case there's anyone involved in Battlestar Galactica reading this, despite the fact I watch it every week as my only (after tonight) appointment television, I really don't like it. Honestly. The worst thing for me would be for you to keep it on air. Same applies to Stargate : Atlantis.

I like BG, and Atlantis is improving (slowly). I couldn't get on with Threshold as I wasn't quite sure what they were doing most of the time.

Bones is quite fun. And not because Emily Deschanel is quite nice :)

Didn't/hasn't family guy come back?

And for me you can try and cancel Catherine Tate.

I have been watching threshold too, haven't watched last night yet, was looking forward to them summing it up a bit, they put some right rubbish on series after series and the good things are alway taken off. maybe I just have strange taste in programs. (sky 1 also have 4400 and bones which are good at the moment)

No real summing up, I'm afraid - I won't spoil but basically left totally wide open.

I'm peeved.

Anyone got a few millions to spare? We could get Threshold and Firefly started up again. :)

At first I was REALLY surprised "Threshold" wasn't being renewed for a new season. It's perfect material for old 'X Files' fans still suffering withdrawal symptoms - very much similar territory in both plot-line and feel and general atmosphere.

But then again - like the 'X Files', on occasion it's quite hard to follow, so you need a brain to get anything out of it and make sense of it. But that's a plus-factor isn't it? It's not the usual run of the mill tv pap where you only need the sttention span of a gnat and just need to gawp at the screen.

ok, there's the reason 'Threshold' wasn't renewed - you need a brain to appreciate it. American tv audience reaction controls which series get the funding for a new season. Oh dear, that's anything remotely intelligent stuffed, then. :(

Bye bye 'Threshold'.
