In full agreement here MsB

It does it if you prod the button twice

It's the slowness of the forum that's driving me nuts - coz that's the real reason for the 15 second box appearing

How strange - I probably have one of the slowest PCs of anyone on the Forum (300MHz P2) with an average broadband connection, and frequently use the 'View New Posts' option and yet haven't seen the box appear?

Perhaps now you know that it will appear if you are too keen, you should just not press the link too often? ;)

Seriously, we're aware of the speed issues and will do what we can to speed it up.

Joe

the gap you have to wait between posts annoys me
the not letting you post a short post annoys me
the cant post too much in a pm annoys me

sometimes its like the frigging krypton factor trying to do things on here with the stupid rules

*rant mode off*

Or having to wait 60 seconds between sending PM's - if I'm a fast typer and the person I'm replying to is fast we could send two each in that time - Grrr, it's annoying to wait!!:)

(Seriously though I understand why there's the delay, I'm just not too keen on it!!)

With reard to the posting rate issues - I'll raise it on the list and see if we can do something about it.

If you want to raise these things, then just do as Geoff asks - raise them in a PM to me or Tony and we'll add them to the list of issues. Complaining about them in a cryptically named thread that I might not read isn't the most effective way to bring these things to our attention.

Thanks,

Joe

all my threads are crytically named. they get more views that way. it's nothing to do with whether mods read them or not.

I was simply asking other people's views on the 15 second delay in the new format. if I had wanted to know why the delay occurred then I would have asked you.

I take it we are allowed to discuss the new format between ourselves?

Calm down, and while you are about it empty your PM inbox... what is it with women and technology

Erm, I'm just trying to be helpful.

Please don't get stroppy with me, msbehavin.

What is the matter with everyone today, being really bolshy and grumpy with each other and the Forum/Mods?

It's all getting very tiresome.

If you don't like the way the Forum is run, no-one is holding a gun to your head to stay. If you don't like it, LEAVE.

This post is not particularly aimed at MsBehavin, by the way - I'm just fed up of people moaning, complaining and generally not being nice at the moment.

'Is anyone else severely irritated by msbehavin'

I was going to vote yes but couldn't find the appropriate box then I put my 'readers' on and realised that I'd mis-read the title of the thread from the 'view posts' page :hihi: :hihi:
