A few weeks ago I had lunch at 'The Lounge' pub, just off West Street.

The place was really quiet and the food was great. Really enjoyed it.

For proper pub grub, I'd go for the Noah's Ark in Crookes, the Red Deer and Fagans in town. Spot on!

for quality cheap "just like granny made it" style homecooked food try The Sportsman at Lodgemoor, Just before the 3 Merry Lads pub. Fish n Chips is excellent.

wig and pen always gets my vote
yummy tapas and lovely meals in the restarent
or all bar one they still do a great ham and eggs served with chips cant go wrong really
i'd say the worst would be psalter tavern thou
food - poor to average (even for cheap and cheerful) with rude staff to boot

Wig and Pen deffo. Dulos always has nice grub also. Wagon & Horses Abbeydale Rd South (Millhouses) does a lovely roast.
Many places are chains now I guess...

Yeah I do actually like Broadfield food Bradders. I was trying to avoid chains though in a vain attempt to look more like a connoisseur. Or something. Lloyds is nice for lunch what with their 2-for-1's also.

Dusty Miller at Barlborough, without a doubt best Sunday Dinner by a mile.

but they do alot of the time not have much in to cook in my experience
they always run out of food before the weekend
