Hi guys!

How busy is the area around Hillsborough before/ after Sheffield Weds play (opposite the park around Dorothy, Lennox and Dixon Road)? Is it full of people but basically ok, or is it best to stay away?

For about 20 minutes either side of the game there's a lot of people but basically OK.

Hotphil's right but parking can be a real beeatch in the lead up to a match as they seem to descend on the chippies and saunter down to the ground early.

Residents parking + Takeaway business parking + Football parking =

Other than that it's fine and dandy and hardly the intrusion you'd imagine..... Apart from the occassional pleb who pee's in my alleyway grrrr.

It's the same round any footie ground, really, be it hillsboro'/ Bramall Lane, or anywhere else up and down the country.

I can remember my dad never being able to park on matchdays near our house, thirty years ago, when we lived near Bramall Lane.

He worked Saturdays, and when he came home, the supporters had parked choc-a-bloc all round our area, and he could not park. The number of parking tickets he recieved!. We still have the same problem, today, with supporters parking right up almost to Psalter Lane, around the sharrow area.

Cheers all for the info!!! It sounds like it's not as bad as some people paint it. Parking might be a bit of a problem but if it's a nice crowd then great!
