i was once walking down the street and took a swig of a can of beer and walked into a lampost

also walked out of roxys rock night, walked through fitzallen square, and walked into a lampost then.

what is it with lamposts? dont they like me?

they wait till ive had a drink or 2 then pounce on me

Jumping off a roof when drunk and spraining my ankle and wrist wasn't too fun. No idea how i managed to walk around on it as the next day i burst into tears as soon as it touched the floor.

Bloody booze.

no matter what, if im a little typsy or very very drunk i always seem to go over on my ankle and wake up the next morning with it heavily swollen and very painful! this even happens when i wear flat shoes and trainers!! quite annoying!
Also once got picked up and swung round by my very drunken and insane friend, HE DROPPED ME and i ended up with a very purple bruise on my hip. Ouch!! i forgave him but i try and stay out of his way when he is out and drunk

ohh i ran into a brick wall when i was ver drunk once! i only knew cos i was told the next day by my mates between their fits of laughter! i knew i was really drunk that night as everytime i tried to run the road just appeared next to my face so i had to give up and resort to crawling, at least i couldnt feel anything - until the next day anyway!

Many many years ago :hihi: I was abroad and got totally trollied in a bar through no fault of my own. I had met some dutch guys (who liked a drink) and they had a very bad influence on me. Anyway at some point in the night I fell off a bar stool and was taken back to where I was staying by the guys and one stayed with me to check that I was alright.

I remember seeing a pin prick size cut on my leg with a tiny circular bruise around it and he told me I had glass in my leg and he would suck it out. Drunk or not I wasn't falling for that little chestnut!

Anyway months later and back in England my leg was giving me some trouble and it started to swell to twice it's size, became very painful and my skin appeared to look like a snakes (cellulitis).

I went to the doctors and then the hospital who confirmed I had glass in my leg and was booked in for an exploratory operation to find it. I still didn't believe it and went abroad twice more (rearranging my operation dates, as I really didn't want a 4 inch scar down my leg)

Sometime after my visits abroad my mum put some Mag. Sulph on my leg and a dressing and one evening......."Mum, theres something poking out of my leg"

She got her surgical tweezers and very carefully pulled out a shard of glass that was about an inch in length!
My leg healed.

Moral of the story:

When drunk with the dutch believe anything, especially when it comes to sucking!

The first few weeks of university were agony for me... I went on the law society bar crawl during freshers week and it was raining really bad... I got really drunk and hurt my foot, it ended up really really swollen, I couldn't walk in heels and I was literally hobbling to uni for weeks! I should have gotten it seen to because it took about 4 or 5 weeks for the swelling to go down!
I think I slipped on the wet cobbles outside the leadmill... it obviously didnt hurt me then cos of the alcohol, but crikey it hurt for ages after!

i once got up from a heavy session and my back felt like my spine had been smashed up with a baseball bat...

I went to the doctors the next day... I had a massive bruise accross my back and it was sore as hell, I could barely move...

to this day I still don't know what happened, I was in no fights, don't remember falling over, none of my mates can think of anything... all I can assume is fell into some railings or even fell over some railings lol

thats the worst I think, had plenty of bad ankles, cuts and bruises...

I've got a Harry Potter scar after knocking myself out on a book case, bending down to unplug a lamp after knocking back a few (ok, about 9 pints). Had to teach the next day - don't think anyone was particularly convinced by my claims of sobriety!

I drunk myself unconcious xmas eve and smashed my face up on the floor.

Not a pretty site :)

The only injury I usually end up with is a bust knuckle.

I have a nice photo of myself with blood all over my face after falling over in a nightclub in Nottingham. And I once woke up with a broken finger, for unknown reasons.

I too am one for going to bed fine... other than alittle p*ssed... body clear of bruises etc... but i've on many occasions woken with black/purple marks on my arms and legs...

Maybe its to do with the fight that we put up when someone wants to get rid of us by putting us to bed... but we dont feel its time... :hihi:

One time i woke with the biggest blackest bruise on the back of my left leg i'd ever seen in my life... to this day i have no clue as to what i'd done to get such a monster! :suspect:

Another strange thing was my 19th birthday party... parents went out so i could invite my mates over for a few bevvies and food... nice one! :)

The evening was alittle exciting to say the least... people trying to gate crash and talks of putting a brick through the lounge window etc... nice lads! oh and a mate falling down the stairs due to drinking far too much on antibiotics... silly boy! :nono:

Apart from that it was a great night... when everyone had gone i went up to bed... whilst i was getting undressed i noticed a clean slash in one of my trouser legs... looked at my leg for blood... nothing... looked at the rest of my outfit for any blood or more slashes... nothing.. very odd... went to bed and thought nothing more of it...

The next day a couple of my mates who were at my party told me they'd got blood on their clothes... this was a total mystery to say the least... i have no idea how why what when etc...

I guess the conclusion is that strange things happen when Alcohol is involved... :?

This always happens to me too, I remember everything (mostly) but can never remember where the mass of bruises have come from. It must be that you bruise easier when drunk or something:huh:

I can usually remember everything too... how do we forget bumping into things!? surely it hurts as we wouldnt have a bruise... plus thats clearly where are marks are coming from... by us banging or bumping into walls doors etc... :?

I must be the only one who finds these discosures shocking I can't understand why people drink themselves into oblivion. If they are trying to blot something out--- it's still there when they come round and worse because they don't feel good.
Perhaps because I have been on the receiving end of drunks it's not quite so funny.

my fave injury is normally to my pride (lol) after trying to pull and failing miserably after they see me "dance" (for want of a better word, random body movements would be a much better description).

and my other injury is normally to my right hand side just where my pocket is on my trousers... i wake up the next morning... pull out my wallet and... OUCH it hurts...

I think the worst drinking injury I ever had was after going to the leadmill. I wore heels for some reason and was fine all night, apart from when we were walking home. I managed to trip up the kerb somewhere and went flying. I ended up with grazed hands, and knees, but apparently that didn't stop me, so I must have half head butted the floor :P I grazed my chin, and my upper lip, and inside my mouth was bruised :( At least I didn't feel it at the time. The worst thing was, I got a rather large bruise on my knee from that, and then a week later, I was out somewhere else, but sober this time, and fell off a podium! The rather large bruise became a giant, leg covering, bright purple monstrosity!

I'm glad I'm not the only one to use this term!!
