I am 47 years old and maybe entering the menopause. I have very heavy bleeding, which is being controlled, but the worst thing right now is the raging hormones. It's like flicking a switch and I turn from a normal human being into an raging, angry mad woman. I feel like I have intense rage bubbling up inside and then off I go, ranting and raving, mainly at my husband, the poor sod!

I do have yet another drs appointment, but it the mean time I wonder if anyone can recommend anything that they have tried that works? Telling me to deep breathe and calm down is like a red rag to a bull!

Eventually one morning I'll get up and feel all calm again.

All this seems to happen without me having any control whatsoever.

HRT might help, if you are prepared to take it. In theory, it should take the "spikes" out of the flow of the hormones, leaving you on a more even keel, emotionally.

There are menopause vitamins you can get from chemists, and one chain of bakers even used to make a special cake with certain hormone-balancing seeds and oils in it.

Vitamin b-6 is supposed to be very beneficial.

PMT is a P-I-T-A, I feel at odds with myself, never mind the world, when I'm in the throes.

Take the HRT!
