Sheffield Live www.sheffieldlive.org will be back on air on Sunday with a live link to comunity radio stations in Katmandu Nepal in the early hours of Saturday night and a live link to Johannesburg South Africa at 06.00 to dedicate 24 hours of broadcasting to international day against racism.
On March 21 1960 in Sharpville South Africa 69 unarmed protesters were massacred and hundreds were injured when troops opened fire on a peacefull demonstration against the pass laws introduced by the Apartheid Government.

That should be interesting. A lot of work has gone into Sheffield live to get it back online, I attended a meeting last month on the future of the station.

When I get the chance and time I will be putting my demo in for a Blues and Jazz show, just hope they like it!

Had a loo at site - seems to just air once a week ? Is there an archive so i can listen to sommat instead of having to wait till next broadcast ?

It is starting just one day a week and will soon go to 2 a week and hopefully to 7 days a week depending on amount of DJs and presenters available.
It is going for the FM licence in June or July and should be broadcasting full time by then.
