For all of those who watch Shameless, on a Tuesday night (and the first look on E4 afterwards), has the depiction of council estate life gone too far lately with the scenes of graphic sex and violence? Is it really true to life ona typical housing estate in Manchester or any other Northern town for that matter?

I grew up on a council estate in Oldham. I thought Shameless was a documentary!

I grew up on one in Liverpool, and we never saw whats been going on in Shameless in the last couple of episodes. Maybe I was a bit too young to notice!

I don't think of it like that I just enjoy it as a very well produced programme.

I remember it as being a lot funnier with a lot more depth, instead of depciting people on council estates as being yobs and just s***ing each other all the time. I am not complaining though!! Just an observation...

I also thought that the latest episode had gone a bit "Viz"!

Did we really needed to see ejaculate squirting about to know what was going on???

Thats what made me cringe a bit, I thought that scene was just a bit too much, and I am not a prude!!(honest), did we need to see Tony's stuff all over the photo??

I think shameless is a work of genius!!!! I absolutley love it and yes it may show some cringeworthy moments (yep the flying jiz def qualifies as cringey.....) but it makes me laugh so so much and the characters are fab (except Frank is getting a bit boring nowadays)

Shameless is a brilliant programme.

The characters are excellent and funny but i do think it has got a bit more graphical since the last series.

I watch it on tuesdays and sometimes my teenage kids watch it with me but i do kinda get a bit embarassed with scenes like in the ejaculation episode.

Does'nt take much to imagine whats going on so in my opinion it needn't be as graphical.
