there's Inter Siam on London Rd - nice, not too expensive, really friendly
Baan Thai at the bottom of London rd, next to Waitrose, does a lunch deal for £7, i think - really good value, lovely food

hope this helps!

The new noodle bar on Eccy Rd (next to Spar) - quite cheap and the best Thai food I've had in Sheffield!

It's called Noodle King, although I wouldn't exactly class it as a "restaurant" in the traditional sense - you can just wander in any time without reservations and it's self service (they give you one of those bleeping black box things to let you know when to go up to the counter). It was BYOB when I went as well, although I think they may have since got a license (Pretty much everybody eating there had a spar carrier bag filled with cheap plonk or cans of lager).

It's reasonably cheap and the food is good for what you're paying, but if it's an actual restaurant you're after there are much better places - like Bahn Thai next to Waitrose. The food there is fantastic and I think they do a buffet lunch for 10 quid at weekends...
