I would like to know if I bought a new mobile phone on a network I didn’t like if I could have it unlocked. The reason for this being I’ve seen a mobile I would like that is a lot cheaper on Vodafone than Virgin, It would be a Nokia mobile phone I would buy. If yes it can be done where would I take it too.
Thanks

Yes, you can get it unlocked, my shouty friend. Usually costs about £10, but some idiot (;)) on here has a mobile unlocking site.

does it do stolen phones then? SY police have an amnesty on them at the moment, perhaps they'd be keen to recycle them

You can get your phone unlocked at Zarella's in Town, they have branches in the Castle Market and at the bottom of Pinstone St just above the British Heart Foundation charity shop, next to Cooplands sandwich shop.

Expensive thou, but a nice shop. Just be careful they don't rip you off!!
