I was looking at a wierd cloud formation earlier today when it occured to me that it wasn't a cloud but an orb. Anyone else see it about 3pm today - North Sheffield

Are you sure it wasn't the sun or moon?! But no, I was out and about then and didn't notice anything.

I think they were spirits of past souls left in limbo between this world and the next...they were awesome

Missed it my self which is ashame.

Somebody posted a link to this cool site on another thread. I had a look and saw a reference to things called 'iridium flares'. These are flashes in the sky caused by reflections from Iridium satellites. You can plan when they are going to be visible from Sheffield too if you want to recreate your experience (assuming thats what it was!)
I havent seen one yet, but I am gonna have a look!
