Is que tals and k-pasa? KATIEB_23 25-01-2006, 13:35 BB's on Division Street is nice. (BYOB) Also, try http://www.bbc.co.uk/southyorkshire/greedycow/food/category_listings.shtml for Sheffield restaraunt reviews. meggy 25-01-2006, 13:43 Seriously I would love there to be a fantastic italian other than Nonnas and Marco's in Sheff but they don't exist, most so called Italians just stick a poor tomato sauce on anything and claim thats italian food ....it's never been that way in italy. So forget the Italian for a BYO and go to Cafe Ceres on Sharrowvale Road for an amazing French authentic meal you can take your own Wine but I reccomend you be there at the latest 7-7.30 You will not be dissapointed and it's so cheap it's untrue example: Duck aL'orange with the best Dauphinoise Potatoes ever is bout £6.80 Try it and let us know!! I feel exactly the same way! Nonnas & Marco's are fab, so I can tell if you like Cafe Ceres then I probably will too! I will definitely try it. Have you tried Rossi's? it's not quite Marco's but is definitely in a league above the other Sheff Italians. Cardboard 27-01-2006, 13:41 Thanks guys. I dont think I've had french food apart from snails, chicken and chips?! Is it as tasty then? What kind of dishes is in french food? defstef 27-01-2006, 14:58 Seriously I would love there to be a fantastic italian other than Nonnas and Marco's in Sheff but they don't exist, most so called Italians just stick a poor tomato sauce on anything and claim thats italian food ....it's never been that way in italy. What about Luna Rossa? I've had fantastic food there...in fact, as I recall, we were the only British people in the restaurant, which was pretty full. The rest were all Italian. Surely a good sign? nick2 27-01-2006, 16:05 Seriously I would love there to be a fantastic italian other than Nonnas and Marco's in Sheff but they don't exist, most so called Italians just stick a poor tomato sauce on anything and claim thats italian food ....it's never been that way in italy. :) :) :) Nonnas is about as authentic as a plastic gondola. Rossis is good, but way overpriced and you always have to check your bill. ukdobby 27-01-2006, 16:38 Papa Ciccios at Crosspool is pretty good Lindos 27-01-2006, 17:12 It's not realy Italian, but I beleive you'r welcome to bring your own Carlsburg Special to Fargate on a Friday night, and the peace gardens welcomes all with a 2Ltr of White lightning! :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: Tartempion 27-01-2006, 20:14 Nonnas is about as authentic as a plastic gondola. I agree. It's ridiculously overpriced and full of pretentious w****rs too. I really like the one on the other side of the road a bit further up. It's called Trattoria Romana. It's not BYO though. |
