My son and daughter in-law may be offered a property in Manor Oaks, does anyone know this area, if so what is it like?. I dont want them jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire, so to speak. They also have two children, are there any local schools near there?. Hope someone can help

i was brought up on that estate, its mainly council, it was a very ruff area when i was a kid many years ago, dont think its changed much, its got run down in many places. there is a primary school, dont know what its like now but it was ok. no secondry school, i went to one across the city. think the main one is hurfield school, again a bit ruff then, and think it still is. you might want to have a good look round the area before you decide. its kinda your ok if you was brought up there, but if you just going there, give it a good look over first.

I worked near there up until a few months ago. The whole area seems to be run down and there seems to be kids on quads and motor bikes all over the place.
I can't say it is rough because i haven't lived there but wouldn't want to live on Manor Oaks Rd/Place etc now. In fact, i wouldn't want to live anywhere on the Wybourn at the minute :?

Yeah, what do people think to this area, especially the manor oaks road part.
Just asking as this thread was started 4 years ago and wondered if anything is different.
Thanks :)
