Does anyone think MICHAEL JACKSON after his embarassing sexual abuse trial wil make a comeback, or will be vanish into obscurity. There are more sexual abuse trials looming for him, and he has been in hospital ever since the trial apparently, on and off.
Is a Jackson comeback as likely as a Gary Glitter comeback?

I have never liked him but i do think he will make a come back, jacko fans seem to be very obsessive and likely to buy anything he puts his name to. You only have to look at the scenes from outside the court house.:loopy:

gary glitter..... doubt any record label would touch him.
michael jackson.. can't remember if he got found guilty of anything really...but was definately found innocent of the biggest claims. so why shouldnt he release more cd's?

I don't think that Michael Jackson has been in hospital ever since his trial - I believe that he is now living in Bahrain.
Gary Glitter hasn't made a comeback at all. He's gone to live in Vietnam, where he is currently facing child abuse charges.

At least Michael Jackson was prepared to put it all on the line and be judged by his piers. There was an incredible debate as to whether he would be found innocent because they all said that the jury was mostly white with not enough black jurors; but he stood by what he said in the Bashir/Jackson documentaries and was found innocent.
What else could he have done? Suppose he was found guilty, done his time and then decided to release records. Probably quite rightly the press and everyone else would absolutely crucify him and call him every name under the sun not buy his records and everything else.
It appears that he was already tried by the press," The Sun, Daily Mirror" and found extremely guilty just by living the type of life that he could afford to and fund his own indulges that most of us can only dream about.
Maybe staying too close to children ofr him was detrimental but he was found innocent of all charges. Nothing was proved, he was cleared, so why can't he release more records if he wants to?
I believe that his next release is to help the people of the New Orleans hurricane who suffered and there are quite a lot of artisits who have supported him in this so isn't itabout time he was given a chance to get on with making music?
Doesn't paying off the family so they won't bear witness in his first indecency trial ring bells and sound rather similar to Gary Glitter's case?

Yes, quite rightly said, but, all that evidence was used in the trial against MJ and it looked pretty bad. Transcripts and witnessess all testified XYZ etc....but he was still found innocent.
Proof of the pudding is to let him release his records and see what happens. Until then we can all speculate!
Gary Glitter was crap in the 70s, and these days not many record buying kids would even know who he is... So a comeback for him would flop.
Michael Jackson however is talented, and the fans would probably forgive him for past actions.
I think it'd have to be a bloody good song to even scrape into the top 40.
