Anyone seen the preview for this remade zombie movie? I really enjoyed the original made in the 70's. I'm not sure why it needed to be remade though.

The original is amazing I must admit. Although having seen the previews the new one looks good too!

The new Dawn of the Dead is not a re-make. The same, title, people holed up in a Shopping Mall and that's where it ends. The Zombies in this don't shuffle about, they run!

Expect the double disk DVD to be a lot bloodier, they had to chop 15 mins out to get a lower release classification.

The 2 SWAT guys from the original 1976 film have bit-parts in this with the Black hero SWAT dude saying his famous line again "When there's no more room in hell, the dead shall walk the earth!"

So, the brain dead zombies run now. And it's not a remake. ok, whatever. :(

Absolutely! Nowt like a ZomRomCom with Si Pegg and it is almost upon us! Roll on April :thumbsup:

I think it's regrded as a conceptual remake. Theyhave remade the original idea and stolen the title, but the reason for the horror/scares will be changed. I think Shaun of the Dead will be more entertaining but it's nice to see that films like 28 days later (British/also had fast 'zombies') can have an impact on the way hollywood makes films!

saw dawn of the dead saturday night - a definate leave your brain at home type film but thought it wasn't bad actually, does exactly what you'd expect it to do.

Loved dawn of the dead ! Shame a third of the audience left before the credits finished and missed the ending :P

Saw DOTD and really enjoyed it. Wasn't anything groundbreaking as such but had some great bits in it and some good comedy.

Stayed for the credits, luckily was warned to do so, those who left and missed the end, must have left pretty quickly as they start showing bits quite soon after it ended, but some people just get up and leave pretty promptly! Prob gagging for a cig or the loo!!

Really enjoyed the remake.... enjoyed it as much as the original.
Although the title and story premise are the same the content has major differences.

Wasn't warned about the credits but boy were they good!

I'll not spoil it... but watch em... they're fab.

I agree with Agent Dan that 28 Days later is an amazing film which I thoroughly enjoyed too.

Thoroughly enjoyed DOTD. Liked it in the same way as I liked 28 Days Later. Dealt with the whole zombie-type-thing in a fresh way. Nicely shot too. Some of the long overhead stuff was excellent - really builds tension.

Really enjoyed it. 5 stars and all that.

D'oh left as credits came on as was dying for the loo. What happened?

The first 10 mins has you gripped, then from there on, a load of codswollop, I still watch it through tho, not a patch on the original, give me Dog Soldiers anyday.....

i wouldnt mind seein this film, i have not seen the 1st one! but its on wednesday nite so will watch it n maybe go to pics at wkend to see new one seem as you all say it is good x

I saw it last night!

Enjoyed it, was better than i thought it would be!

First 10/15 mins or so made me jump about 5 times, then rest was just amusing! :)
