Sorry you were not able to adopt because of a busy road, but CP are concerned their cats go to a safe environment.

There is no fee to adopt a cat.

Most have been vaccinated amd chipped.

I was similarly told that I couldn't have a cat because I live on a main road. The fact that my front garden is very long and the house is a distance from the road didn't seem to have any effect on the decision.

I got a kitten from a private source and she's been a joy and a pleasure - and has never ventured onto the main road.

I do appreciate that people are concerned that cats go to a safe home but I do feel there is a risk of losing potentially good homes because of inflexibility.
