Can i use my credit card in a cash point and take out cash and pay it back as normal each month or do they charge extra for this. It is an egg card.

When I had a credit card you could do this, but the snag was interest was charged from the date of withdrawal.

You useually get charged a fixed rate for taking out the cash, charged a higher rate of interest than for a purchase AND you don't get an interest free period. Better check your T&C. www.egg.com ;)

Yes you can do that but they normally charge more interest for you using cash

Egg term this as a "cash advance"
you will be charged a handling fee of 2% of the withdrawal amount (minimum fee £2). For cash advances there’s a yearly interest rate of 20.9% pa (variable).

So I reckon that if you take out : -
£20 and pay it back a month later you will have to pay back £22.35
£100 and pay back a month later £103.74

so it's not a massive charge.
