Just wondered how many of you had made resolutions and were actually sticking to them now we are nearing the end of January?

I made one to lose weight and eat more healthily, and for the first time ever I've managed to stick with it! I've lost over 5lbs, 3 inches off my waist and 2 and a half inches off my hips, so I'm well chuffed! I've also started running regularly and I have a gym ball which I use for sit-ups and stretches and I'm really enjoying it.

How are the rest of you doing then, or can I be all smug knowing I'm the only one with any willpower?:hihi:

I tend to set realisitic resolutions which aren't too hard to keep, so that I can feel smug when I've kept them!
Mine were NO McDONALDS ever again (but KFC & Burger King are allowed!!)
And to take our new dog for at least one good walk every day no matter what the weather's like.

Done well so far...

I didn't really have any...I am eating more healthily which tends to be a popular choice for a resolution. however I think it is also down to the fact we had lots of rich food over christmas and I can't face eating anything particularly heavy like that until at least next christmas!

Any goals I have for this year are not really assesable by end of Janauary...you know places I want to go, things I want to do. Have finally managed to finish tiling the bathroom....does that count?

If it's something you wanted to achieve this year then I suppose it does count!

I made a resolution about ten years ago, and I'm pleased to say that I've stuck to it ever since....

The resolution was never to make any more resolutions!

Good for you! Chocolate and wine are my biggest downfalls, last week I would have gladly donated my left leg to medical research if it meant I could have a mint aero...... low fat chocolate mousse is my new best friend now though, and those muller light yoghurts in apple pie and lemon cheesecake flavours are nice!!

Don't forget to allow yourself the occasional treat though or you'll just go off the rails!

I,m not doing bad - mine was to only have a Vodka at weekends and I have managed to stick to it! Even though if I did have a drink mid week it may only have been one but I decided to nip it in the bud.

Ive not missed it at all and I'm not bothered if I don't have one at the weekend either so another good thing is I have a few more pennys in my purse too. ;)

1- Mine was to eat more healthily- done so far and really enjoying it,
2- stopping drinking in the week- not doing bad to be honest
3- stop getting so angry behind the wheel at other drivers- still working on that one!!!!

I gave up chocolate and sweets and still going strong. Choc Options drinks help me through the morning at work. Instant hot chocolate that actually tastes nice and is only 40cals per cup? Surely I must be dreaming.

*Chants* I will lose weight, I will lose weight

Definitely a popular resolution that one....

Something quite freaky is happening.....

Me and Hubby went round to see some friends one evening and they said they hadn't been food shopping so could we just get a curry delivered instead.... me and Hubby can easily eat a big curry each, plus egg rice each and a naan bread, but we just ordered curry with boiled rice (no naan) and we struggled to eat half of it!

We felt so bloated and sick afterwards....it was very strange not being able to eat a full plate of food like we would have previously.... surely this must be a good thing!?
