I'm looking for part-time work, preferably one or two days a week but it can be anything up to 4 days a week with half a day on wednesday. I have to have that wednesday afternoon off due to ongoing medical treatment.

Does anyone have any suggestions which temp agencies have the most non-hellish part time work? I'm already signed up with reed and they have nothing, I've also been applying to jobs out of the paper but never get interviews. I'd prefer it to be clerical work but would give admin/reception work a go. There seems to be a lack of part time jobs in this city that aren't cleaning.

Try Adecco - I've worked for them on and off for several years and having signed up with pretty much every agency in Sheffield, Adecco are the only one to have found me work. Tel 270 0050.

A for Appointments got me some good quality temping jobs fairly quickly, and also got me interviews for a couple of permenant jobs.

There's a big thread about agencies on the site somewhere but search facility is down at the minute so can't post you the link yet!

Yeah, I remember reading that one a while back. It's more the part-time temp work angle I'm after than general temping - i.e. is there such a thing as part-time temp work? lol.

Yeah there is. A4A were really good about finding them for me. I told them when I was at uni etc and they found jobs to fit round it!

Perhaps omitting to mention the 'ongoing medical' thing might help secure a post? ;)

LOL! Yes - I've been told by various people to only mention that to them after I've secured the job.
