It looks like the empty units below the flats opposite Walkabout are going to turned into a restaurant/bar. At last, they are filling these empty units and are giving us, hopefully, a wider choice of places to eat and have fun..

On the subject of empty units. Anyone know whats happening to them empty units below the apartments of Wards Brewery?

I recall seeing a planning application on the council website for one of the wards apartment development units to be a cafe bar open until 1230am.

Talking of wards the new draught Wards Best Bitter is launched on 30th March, but that's a different subject altogether...

The sign is still up at Wards (across the road from me, I see it every morning) - no idea about the rent, etc. Not an ideal venue for me - sound proofing problems, glass frontage not good for acoustics, etc, so I've not enquired.
