I am still lost.

My computer seems to be slow (Vidster, I keep doing all the checks and stuff you advised but I think it is very ill and don't know what esle to do) I don't know if it is aol or not and am thinking of deleting everything, reloading and starting again - including new broadband wireless with new provider.

I am on aol gold (24.99 per month) and have been with them for years. I don't download that much...but I like it to be really fast. I am also scared to lose my aol e-mail address - could I retain this even if I changed provider? Can anyone advise what is comparable? (for those of you who know I am not computer minded...please keep it simple!)

Wireless broadband? I think Wanadoo do a wireless option, check their site (http://www.wanadoo.co.uk) for details, there's also Pipex (http://www.pipex.co.uk) but Pipex's wireless BB was £46 a month for 512k when I was on it 2 years ago nearly.

I would personally recommend anyone OTHER than AOL, the fact that they suck has been discussed at great length in a myriad of threads on here.

if you update at the moment to aol platinum you will be sent an asdl modem with wireless and it is fast very fast and the modem is a speedtouch 776 which is absoluteley free

What's the difference? I thought wireless was without the wires...what's wireless hub? I am quite happy for a normal broadband connection but are you saying I can do this without the wires...have I understood correctly?
