lol, I know what you mean.....well you know he is good because he has strange joints......but yeah we can do allot of the stuff you see there. There are 3 of us and we all specialise in different styles but if you see any of us dancing you will see things that you like.

But you heard of mr wiggles and the and popping pete and pop & taco.....our popping is based on a style created by them.

we should be up and running soon as we can find a venue if you intrested email me with your details and we will contact you as soon as we have a venue.

If you like the dancing in the movie break dance then you will like our style.

Can I ask what age group you are focussing on and how much lessons cost?

We are willing to teach any age over 16 year old for now.

After a few months we will be looking in to teaching younger age group.

As for the cost we are not 100% sure yet it will depend on the venue we hire but the lessons will be 1 to 2 hours long and just to give you an idea it could be anything from £5.00 to £7.00 for a lesson. But depending on how many students we get the price will drop to under £5.00 a lesson.

But i can asure you that even if you have never danced before or have no experience we will be able to get you dancing within 2 months to a good level.

It's my daughter and her friends who are interested - not me, I'm 42! I can still do that arm thing though - was doing it to the Strauss CD my son got me for Mother's Day!!!!!!

Tiffy - can you email me at pearlrockers@hotmail.com and i can send you a form to register with us. and we can put you/or your daughter on our data base, that way we can contact you when we open up. Our classess are going to get fully booked up because we have had a large number of request so far. But we still have some places yet.

And tiffy you can do the arm wave haha brings back memories..............but if you come to my class you will learn an arm wave that has over 60 locks in it (that mean over 60 different movement) One more thing....we are going to start off by teaching over 16 years old only.

well we are a body popping crew...but one of our memeber can do break dancing. but there are a few places you can go to learn break dancing. But yeah we just teaching body popping.

As for now the only time i can book it out is Friday evenings i know that might be a problem with allot of you because you have other things on at that time, but if you can make it the classess will be running on the following week, just depends on if i think the place is ok.

When I was 12 we used to spend our 'play time' at school doing swallow dives (????) all around the play ground. Thought, once learned, never forgotten. Not so long ago I nearly broke my Goddam neck !

This was Saturday afternoon about 3.

They were quite young ... maybe 20 ? ... quite talented and fit though ... and they were just doing it on this cardboard sheet outside the townhall steps (just across from gap).

They had this big old classic convertable (car) ... that kinda went up and down on hydraulics.

ohh cool..........oh well if you liked it then you should come to our class when we are up and running......they must have been break daning................................i wish i was there to take them on and show them that the pearl rockers are the best lol........there are some dancers in republic on friday and sat night...i use to teach them and they quite good.......they do allot of bosy popping.

Nah, Roxanne's Revenge ... Was great stuff (and still is, had it on not long back, still sounds great)

Of course, Electro 5 had 'Breakers revenge' which was in Beat Street, so that was another belter :)

Breakin' the movie was dire compared to Beat Street though, in my opinion

well....i think the secound one was not as good as beat street....but breakdance was wicked.......then again it depends on what you like ......the movie break dance had more body popping in it then break dance........but beat street had more break dance in it....I love body popping so breaking was cool.....also...turbo is the best body popper ever hehe...plus it had popping pete and pop and taco in it and not to forget orlando.

anyway you got any good break beats for popping.......i got loads but want some new ones.

but rock steady crew in beat street were tuff........got to give to him for the spin on his back and take the shoes off......master class move.

I'm after finding some more videos of that kid on the Kollaboration site - I think his name is David Elsewhere...

Does anybody here know where I can find any online videos of him, because I think he's ace.

The ones I've Googled have come out as videos that wont load/stream for me.
I've seen the Kollaboration 2000 performance and it blew me away. Wondered if I could catch some more of his stuff.

Yeah there are allot of clips of him...i have a few but the only thing is they are hard to find and i cant remmber where i got them from.

but i would like to point out that...the clips you seen on his site are all his moves i got other clips but he does the same moves again and again.

oh yeah hes also in the movie you been served theres...you see him doing some moves for about 40 sec....once again the same moves as you already seen.

there will be a night in Forum soon every monday or wednesday night - not sure on the day yet. starting 8:00 - 1:00

we will be teaching body popping and breaking between 8:00 - 10:00

and from 10:00 -1:00 you can see some crews from around the uk battle and hear some old skool scraching from some old skool dj's.

still trying to organise it....so hope to see you boys/girls there when it happens.

I might pop down the forum monday, but i'm very hard to please, if you started out the same sort of time when i was around then by rights you should be good. Have you seen UK B-Boy Championships 2002 i have the DVD it's good for breaking but not much poppin on it.

Smack 19 was THE crew to be in in the late eighties, in rotherham we had 2&2 but they sucked big time.

Yeah cool....We were down at the b-boy 2004...salah from france won the popping. It was good but yeah not much popping.

No not popped for a long time would still love to see it though, i was in hip hop rockers for a while back then in the 80's, do you have any footage of popping on dvd or vhs would love to see some recent stuf to see how far it has come, monday nights or any other nights apart from weekends will be hard for me to come down to forum cause i work long long hours.

Yeah i got loads of video clips on cd. even held a competition in forum few weeks ago got that on cd.......but havent had time to get it sorted out yet. ill let ya know when i get it back.

Hey I've seen you guys dance before at Forum, you're cool. But I don't reckon much to the breakers you hang with, they don't do anyhting. They don't match your poppin standard.

We are a popping a Crew. Any breakers you seen in there are not a part of crew they just come down to dance. They not very good because they all beginers havent been doing it for a long time.

Were holding a competion on the 7th march in there which should have some good breakers from around the country.

Yeah I know who sammy is....hes the guy that does allot of flips. Not really breakdancing.

Allot of people think Breakdancing is flips and running of the wall.

korea has the best breakers you seen darkness hes good
the only good breakers i seen in still doing their things these days are....mouse, nath dog, and a few breakers from leeds.

I just dont like allot of people that think they can breakdance and all they do is flips. So after they done a few moves they will start doing flips not really breakDANCING if you know what i mean.

Best poppers in uk are

Electri'k - really good boogaloo
rubot - old skool popper
dennis - he won the battle of brittian popping comp.
spaner - smack 19 old - skool popper

there are allot more poppers around that are good.

The best breakers out here in Korea use flips, it's part of breaking now.

Yeah but watch the breaker in korea when they flip they put a dance move before it or after it. thats how it spose to be done. Not just walk on to the dance floor and flip or youll never see a true breaker do a flip and just leave it as that. There no point because in a competiton you wont get any points its not scored on the B-boy score sheets for any championships.

Oh yeah also if you watch a good breaker they wont stop after a floor work for a while and then do a freeze you know what i mean....theres only few breakers that can keep it flowing smooth and make it look like a dance.

I might not do a lot of breaking myself but I follow it all round the world, I didn't say that Sammy was better than Mouse, they can't be compared as they have totally different styles and body shapes.Mouse's freezes are heavy but Sammy's dancing and popping is fantastic, maybe you've not seen it.

its a pitty bed had to close down because i never really use to go much in there because i dident think the dancers were that good in there. My usual spot in down south for going out to dance. There are allot of dancers up in sheffield but mainly beginers. But have to say back in the days sheffield was on top form for popping and breaking.

But yeah i dont really go out to pop much because too busy teaching and usually doing allot of work dancing in bars and clubs in manchester and leeds at the moment.

the breaking and popping sceene is really picking up here now allot of b-boys and b-girls entring national competion.

I use to do allot in manchester and leeds and london....but since i been teaching popping in sheffield i just mainly do it in sheffield now...just trying to build sceene along with the rest of the crew.

Im down for a bit of Body Poppin and Breaks dancin, but I dont want to be taught, as I can do it already and there isnt anything that you would be able to teach me.
