Hey I’m a student Nurse, currently doing a project, part of which is the history of Claywood Flats, need to know: When built, why built, when demolished, why demolished and any interesting facts.
Would appreciate any help.
Thanks xx
By the way I’m not 'Whatever' that’s my father.
all i can tell you about the said flats is.......they were full of smack heads and dole wallers the big mistake sheffield council made was moving everyone our before they demolished them

thats a generalisation isnt it, my brother lived in those flats and he was neither a druggy or a dole waller (whatever that means)
although he is a little queer thats why they were known as the "fairy towers":)

you might be talking about the flats in recent years
but we lived there in the 70'S AND I CAN TELL YOU SOMETHING THEY WERE LOVELY !!!!!!!
i was born there , and that was my parents first home , we lived there till i was about 8
everyone knew everyone , all us kids played together , went to school together, had picnics in the park grounds there
it was great
so i guess they were build in the very late 60's but i will ask my mom
sharon
