hmm.. thought a light bulb had gone in my room..which was odd as i changed it a couple of weeks ago, anyways went to put in a new one and still no light, usually it knocks out all the lights in my house and i have to go and flip the switch at the fuse box....but everything else is still on..its just the one room.

ideas?

Depends how knowledgeable you are, I would switch off at the fuse box and check the wiring in the switch and light fitting. Sometimes cables can just come loose... next thing would be to swap the bulb again with a bulb you know is currently working!

Good luck

If there is a fault ensure the light switch remains in the OFF position to minimise risks and get it checked out ASAP the last thing you need is a house fire caused by a loose cable.

With a bayonet light fitting most likely the heat from the bulb has perished the plastic sufficiently to break it. Pull lighting fuse from fuse box. Put in pocket to stop other person replacing it. Remove bayonet. If doubtful of condition of light flex, replace. Attach new bayonet. Insert bulb. Replace fuse.
