I'm having a PC problem that i think is being caused by the IDE hard drive - but I'm unsure if something else is also not working (I can't test until i have a working HD) so I don't want to buy a brand new HD until I am sure it is only the HD that isn't working.

So, has anyone got a (no matter how small) IDE HD they would be willing to sell to me, the key thing being how soon I would be able to get it off you it is pretty urgent.

What area of Sheffield are you in?

I've got a 40gb ide, but it's out of a laptop. 2 1/2 inch.

I have two very small capacity ones, one a WD that's 1281.9mb :D and a Maxtor at 4223mb, both IDE for a pc.
