Hi
I used to live at Woodhouse & on the 52 bus route goes past Staniforth rd & there's that massive building that said for ages that it would become a Thai/Chinese buffet!
Seemed like a lifetime until it started to get going with work! & when it would open!
Has anyone been & whats it like?
Rom
I have not been in but i dont think it will do much business. I been past it nearly ten times and not sen a soul in there. The guy who owns it use to be at Ayeshas in Dronfield. I dont think it is in the right area, be honest have you ever walked on Staniforth Road at night? Spooky.
i know what you mean, just as i thought it was in a dominantly asian area, it would be good!
Staniforth rd is ok, maybe you need the right guy to make you feel protected whilst walking down there! lol

I think there's another thread on thsi somewhere.
I have not been but intend to very soon. There was a review in the Sheffield Star a few weeks back and it got very good reviews so seems worth a try.
I dont think it's licensed though

Update, i went last night and was very impressed. You can see that the owner who often greets you has put a lot of attention into the place. If you've not seen it before it is a combined Indian/Thai/Chinese buffet place. Cost £7.90 for all you can eat.
The place tries not to create the school canteen that the Chinese buffet do which they've achieved. The car park has Security and the place is very well decorated.
As i said before, they dont have a licence so soft drinks early, but the food was very nice, bhajis (i kept to Indian) were the best i've had in a while and they make the naan fresh for you.
:) went about 2 weeks ago excellent , that good going again next friday real value for money:)

A group of us went out last night and really enjoyed a good meal and atmosphere. It was good value for money, service was good, it was a friendly place to be. A family orientated place, you dont need booze to have a good night out. Good food and company....what more do you want.

excellent been several times and taken friends. I went the first week that it openend and several times since, and always good can't fault it/ and sometimes had to wait for a table
Went a few weeks back. Impressed with the cleanliness and friendly staff but the owner was a little too friendly. It might have been cos there weren't many in as it was around tea time but he was just there or hovering all the time. There was plenty of choice but i found the indian meals especially very hot and spicy and there was a couple of other customers complaining of the same thing. I don't think i would go again but my hubbie said he would as he likes spicy food.
