MICKEY D
Since storming the Adelaide Fringe and Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2000 Mickey D has performed across the UK, throughout Europe and the States and acquired an impressive list of TV and radio credits. More recently his achievements were acknowledged when he won’ Best Comedy Award 2007 at the Adelaide International Festival’.
His previous sell-out shows in Edinburgh include; 'Mickey D has Detention Deficit Disorder', 'Mickey D was a Pub Kid' and 'Velocity Boy'.
Mickey D returned to the Edinburgh Fringe in 2007, with the critically acclaimed show ‘Shame 101’ which won him ‘Best Comedy’ award at the Adelaide International Comedy Festival this year. ‘Shame 101’ is a breakneck departure from the highbrow, a refreshing ride of pure fun - liberating, cheeky, honest and real. No power-point, no gimmicks. Edinburgh 2007 saw Mickey D complete the grand slam of international festivals - Adelaide, Melbourne, Auckland, Montreal and now his 7th Edinburgh festival.
'..but the evenings brightest spark is Mickey D, a loud demonstrative Australian with a masterful command of his audience and a quick wit.' The Scotsman
'..five star bloke.' Three Weeks
‘Charmingly gregarious The Independent
'..world class talent.' The Advertiser
‘The prodigal son returns to deliver a knock-out hour of surprisingly strong impact…he’s a natural on stage’ – The Advertiser
"His material is all delivered with such bawling gusto that it's a joy to take in" Edinburgh Evening News
SALLY ANNE HAYWARD
Sally-Anne Hayward has been described as a charming and popular performer with a winning brand of autobiographical humour. She always manages to endear herself to any audience by taking them on a journey through her slightly eccentric world, including insights into the female psyche and her compulsion to send off spoof job applications.
Sally has developed a unique brand of sweet young lady cum sharp-witted fox, wrapped in layers of eminently likeable stage persona.
Currently performing at major venues up and down the country and regular compere at Jesters Comedy Club in Bristol, Sally is in high demand across the UK. As well as working as a comedian, Sally is an accomplished radio presenter and stage and television actress.
"Hayward is a bubbly stream of comedy anecdotes…a delightfully chatty act…an immensely likeable stage manner." Chortle on line review
