Hi all

I used to fish the canal years ago and had membership of the Stocks stretch at Staniforth road, I regularly bought daytickets from the guardhouse at BSC Stainless to fish the Tinsley park road stretch and our sports club (Sheff Forgemasters) had permission to fish the TWIL stretch (basins)...

As far as I know, no one holds leases for any parts of the canal now but i'm not sure of the Plumpers stretch, Does anyone know if anyone still hold the lease for the 30 pegs??

BTW, I fished the stretch near the footbridge a week ago and had loads of Perch and a couple of Roach, the last one was huge too!!!
