ahab are a superb five piece alt country band that has been creating a major stir on the festival circuit this summer, playing festivals large and small from the Hebrides to the south of Cornwall, all points east and west and everything in between. Their energetic performances ensure audiences have a great time - enthusiastic dancers joined the band on stage at the recent Warwick Festival!

With a record deal under their belts and a new EP produced by John Leckie due for release in the autumn, this band is very much on the way up. Dates are still available during September, October and November 2011 and a spring tour is being planned for February 2012.

The band feature Callum Adamson, son of the much loved Stuart of Skids and Big Country fame.

"I loved ahab's terrific performance at Cropredy festival. They are blistering live - alt-country edge and sheer class."

Bob Harris, BBC Radio 2

"ahab is the real deal - top-notch UK Americana featuring tight four-piece harmonies."

Simon Mayo, BBC Radio 2

Support comes from Benjamin Folke Thomas, whose life was transformed when he heard Kurt Cobain singing ‘In The Pines’ on the Unplugged record. Steeping himself in Leadbelly, Bob Dylan, and Leonard Cohen, by the age of 20 he was an excellent finger-picker, confident performer, and mature songwriter. Jaded Londoners didn’t know what had hit them when they first heard songs like ‘Paradise Lost (Heaven Found)’, and saw this robust performer with a stage presence recalling the Bob Dylan of two decades ago.
