I am in the process of writing a mini-newspaer of the Highfield area (the area betwen Bramall Lane, Queens road and St Mary's Gate/Road). It is a project for college, and I am desperate for news stories from the area. I have 12 A4 sides to fill and haven't got any stories yet!! If you know of any news stories, events or incidents that have happened in or around the area, or are going to happen, please please post it so I can include in in my project. I am looking for news stories, events or incidents from February to March 2004. Thank you !!!!

Apparently, someone just off Wolsley Road got a new job a couple of weeks ago. You could write about that.

What about the opening of new restaurants in this area - the first Japanese style one in Sheffield, in place of the bombed out Mango Tree .Very nice it looks too ,there is also a new Turkish one at the bottom of London Road , and a new noodle bar in place of ali's Alleyway .

I live here. Plenty of Students. Nothing much ever happens of any significant excitement. I saw a car crash the other day, but that happens quite a lot as the junction between Bramall Lane and Hill Street is a bit dodgy.

I could use this!!! I shouldn't really be that happy that something so horrible happened though should I ! (sorry!)
Can you post the details of exactly when (time and date approx.)and where it happened(what roads), what cars were involved (colours and makes if u can remember), whether anyone was hurt, whether police ambulance was called and any other info u can think of. Thank you so much. 1 page down 11 to go!!

I bought a bacon, sausage and egg on french from PeeBee's, then 24 400mg Ibuprofen from the Shoreham Street pharmacy this morning if that helps...... That's about as much that happens round here :D

Alternate Saturday afternoons are usually quite busy around that area, maybe you could interview a few people then.

The chinese at the side of the Library is crap and has been there yonks.

The Royal pub has just been converted to yet more student accomodation.

James Cycles is a Highfield's institution and has been there at least 40 years.
