Nice one pete.

It has an atmospheric, 'brooding' quality about it.

It's good.:)

I like it! I'd forgotten just how tall these buildings were. How quickly we forget :o

It's very atmospheric, and the pic and the text are good together, both in their proportion and layout.

I like it!

Yes, the font suits the drama/atmosphere of the photograph, IMO.

It definitely works and is nice and clear.

It would stand out on Waterstones Local History book shelf!

No, no.....you're with friends....I really enjoyed my time on Kelvin and still miss it, strangely...

I was gutted when I visited Sheffield recently and saw the hideous housing that got put in it's place....

It jus'ain't right!

hey it just gets better!

the font struck me as 60's era, like those used in old council publications of the time....got a few old pamphlets in this style knocking about

...except in those days some old bloke will have spent hours casting them in lead lol!

i know how you feel!

my trips to tesco on infirmary road aren't the same without kelvin flats....

and the sun shining on infirmary road STILL doesn't look right!

Excellent! Good book cover. Better than average. Couldn’t be better — and I do that sort of thing for a living! Put the poem in if you must — but I’d sooner have it without. Let me know when it’s completed and I’ll buy one — genuinely.

thanks peterw, very encouraging comments!

i must admit i am more pleased with the cover than i am the poem...i am currently collecting some very good anecdotes about life on kelvin from other ex-tenants, and these are so far up to the standard of the front cover!

if you go to my website (below) there is a "shop" link; i might need to contact you when the book is finished, but i can say now it will be a belter!
