This short story was printed in it's entirity in a newspaper (not sure which one) this weekend.

Having just read it, i can't see what all the fuss is about. People have fainted over that?

It may be visceral and, in parts, horrific but it still didn't put me off my pizza i was eating at the time.

It was a very good read though, absolutely not for children or the squeamish.

Anyone else read it? What are your thoughts/opinions?

Wilf

I thought it was pretty damn hilarious to be honest! Why does everything have to be sugar-coated nowadays?

Apparrently this is the bloke who wrote Fight Club. Hes's certainly pulling no punches here, but the writing was pretty good. Flows along well. Heres the original link, slightly easier to read.

It seems like Irvine Welsh, only more so.

This is the link I originally posted but then edited. The link I posted is a bit harder on the eyes, but is the full story rather than just the extract that was published in The Guardian. The full version is even more gory!

I had a pretty weak stomach today so I only managed to read half of it before I had to stop. It was pretty sick, but I don't really get why it would cause people to faint.

In my mod capacity I should probably tell people not to click that link if you're under 18. Like you're going to listen...

That was quite funny as well as what everyone else has said.

reminds me (tangentially) a story within a story in Naked Lunch.
