Mine was David from secondary school *Nudges SIH* You know who I mean, dontcha hun :P ;)

We were best mates for ages then took it to the next level... IT worked out for a while, but not long really... Think we went out for about 8 months in total. Probably should've just stayed best mates, but we were only 14 hehe :P

Lost touch now... :P The last time I saw him was when he came to bring me a prezzy last crimbo. I understand he's gone to do some course in another city now.

SIH - My auntie and david's mum used to work together, and david's gran lives on the same road as my parents!! :o My auntie has a nasty habit of getting drunk and telling my Mum that she thinks I'll end up marrying David... Oh my God!

Linda Clarke from Bessingby Rd. Daughter of Supt. Albert Clarke at Hammerton Rd. Police Station. She dumped me when I was drafted to my 2nd ship, said she couldn't stand the loneliness. Have lost contact since 1963 but would love to know how she faired in life. Anybody know her??? She would be about 59/60 now.

a girl called ann clarke she had loads of spit and I use to collect stamps as a hobby, she dumped me after 3 weeks got fed up of the taste of glue on the back of the stamps I think. then there was oh little pat bramall who lived on lowedges we grew up together well right up to her being 11 years old as my parents spit up so I had to move away for a while came back later but she had gone, I so wanted to marry her even at that age I was very deeply in love with her and even now I still think about her. she was pure gold was pat I would have done anything for her we always met up in front of the wood what was in front of the big house in greenhill village. the house was owned by the tomkins family the council knocked it down to make way for the new housing what went on the empty ground. this is long before the bradway parkway went in, she was the love of my life was pat we was always together she lived in the masonettes facing the tomkins home. I wonder where she is now and where she lives and if she as changed in all these years since my love went and left me all alone.

Quite a few 'schoolboy crushes' but my first really serious love was with Kim Harrison who lived on Shoreham Street.

We met when we both worked at a Shoe Shop in town - she was a Saturday girl (still at school) and I was a trainee manager.

When I first saw her I literally lost my breath - I dont think I had ever seen anyone so beautiful - took me ages to pluck up courage to ask her out. We dated for some time before the boss found out and they asked me to leave 'cus "management should not have relationships with staff"

We went out for quite dome time but fell out and she started to date one of my friends - but they eventually split up

Last time I saw her she was working in Debenhams on one of the jewellrey counters - that would be about 20 years ago.

Even after all this time I still wonder if she is ok and what happened to her

Won't mention any names, but, I found the name of my first love, from infant school, on friends reunited. Anxiously I awaited a reply to my e/mail, only to find from her reply that she didn't even remember me. How to burst my balloon!

Then through a third party, I came across the name of a girl from my wild and passionate teenage years. Sadly she had died in the eighties.

Maybe it's best to leave these romances where they are, in the long distant past.

My first love? Without a doubt ...Zandreena. Long flowing hair, the most gorgeous eyes and eyelashes you ever saw, rather large feet and therefore not as dainty as she might have been, so loyal, so faithful, so trusting ...ahhhh. I can still see her and my heart still skips a beat. She was the best deerhound I ever owned.

He was probably the lad I was dumped for Hazel. I was 18 then and Linda about 17. If he was a thin, wiry blonde lad at that time (no disprespect to him). It was he!! Can't for the life of me remember his name.

I had quite a few 'first' loves as a youngster ;)

Lesley Veal (only a few weeks), Lisa Buxton (2 years+), Diane Foster (a short period)

It seemed so easy to pull in those days ;)

I wonder if any of them frequent this forum....

I'd score them out of 10 but that would probably upset them if they do read..... they were all great honestly.

My first love was Gavin Shaw, I had 'fancied' him from being about 8 years old and we got together when I was 15. Biggest mistake of my life lol. He treated me like dirt, never respected me etc. I was blind to it all because I had liked him from such a young age. Marion Thompson of Scunthorpe. We met as teenagers in the unromantic circumstances of a Sheffield hospital in 1967. Definitely love at first sight. Marion would take the train to Sheffield every Saturday, and I would hitch-hike to Scunthorpe the following Saturday (I was blowed if I was paying 14/6 [72½p] on the train, after all I'm a Yorkshireman...) and we were sweethearts for over a year. But it was just the wrong time. We were 40 miles apart (we didn't even have telephones in those days, let alone the Internet), I couldn't find a suitable job, etc. etc. And so - reluctantly and very amicably - we parted in November 1968. I got on with my life, worked for a bank for 30+ years before retiring early, wrote books, travelled the world (43 countries so far), looked after my widowed mother (she passed away in September, aged 87) etc. etc. Imagine my surprise when, in March 2005, this old bachelor got an email from the now-widowed Marion - thanks to www.friendsreunited.co.uk. The fact that I am typing this on Marion's computer in Scunthorpe says it all. After exchanging emails for a few weeks, in April 2005 we met at Sheffield station for the first time in 37 years. We will be married in March.

My very first love was Peter Stennett. He was my next door neighbour, 5 times removed! We used to sit in my backyard kissing passionately planning our wedding, closely watched by his 'best man', Gordon who I once told off for messing about saying "If you don't stop it Gordon, you won't come on our honeymoon!" I was then 7 years old and Peter was 6 - I always liked younger men! Sadly, it wasn't to last - his family moved away!
