Does anyone no somebody who can do a return trip to East Midlands airport n back. There will be 6 of us going thurs morning and coming back late sunday night. I have had a qoute of £140 but im sure i can get a much better deal than that.

There's a company in Chesterfield that does airport taxi's using people carriers, they may be able to help you.

They are called Bob Parry airport services and can be found at 07974 4389930. I don't know if they will come to Norton Lees, but you can always try them.

I know of a good minibus service from Hyde Park S2 area! Im sure they could definately beat the quote that you allready have!

He's called Stephen's minibus hire, i dont know if he's in Yellow Pages, but he's fully licenced and very good priced!

Alternatively, have you tried public transport options? National Express operate direct services, there is also a bus link from the airport to Derby train station.

Try Smith's airport taxis on 2363636. If they can't do it (they teem and ladle) with a firm that can.

I bet it would be cheaper to go by helicopter than that taxi quote :confused:

£140 ish is about right. Everytime I've got a minibus to that airport its been about £130 return.

Sorry this is going to be of no use but it may jog someone else's memory. There is a guy called Jeff who is based on Chatsworth Park Road (Gleadless) has a red mini bus. He's a VERY careful driver but will get you to and from where you want to go in one piece and for a very reasonable price. Trouble is can't think of his surname and don't know where his number is. Have tried looking in yellow pages to see if I can find it to no avail. Will keep thinking and post if know one beats me to it! Sorry!!
