Where can I buy highly detailed footpath maps and guides. Particularly thinking about the Rivelin, Bradfield, Redmires/Hathersage & Mayfield areas. I have the usual OS maps but need greater detail and suggested routes. Do Sheffield Tourist info produce anything similar ?

I use the OS Explorer 278 Sheff and Barnsley one. (2.5" - 1 mile)

It has every field boundary marked.

Is this what you already use?

Camping shops stock a selection of maps

Hi
I've got the OS Explorer OL1 (2.5 inches per mile) but I'm after greater detail of local walks, perhaps with local history info as well. Perhaps I need more of a "local walks" book. I've searched on web sites and found these which have Ladybower / Castleton walks etc

The best one I found was a map book from 1918 featuring Redmires area, but would like something more up to date.

I'll check out local bookshops / libraries etc.

Thanks anyway
