When i want to listen to music i go to 440 on Sky and watch music videos... Right?

Now i have to sift through:
Newlyweds, Nick and Jessica (on various channels)
Pimp my ride
TV moments
Celebrity Kids
Cribs

I'm sure there are more but that is what i found just now.
What are these doing on a music channel in the first place? :confused:

Your not the only one that thinks this Vidster.I pay extra to have music channels has i love to listen to it and see new song befor they in charts.
And most of the time it is the programs you just said,I once asked my mate why they put these programs on and he thinks it on due to them being singer's or in bands so we need to know how well or not they are doing.But i like to know what has super sweet sixteen and a few others that are none singing celbs on for, ho and also lisa scott lee why she had her own program i never know.I do not watch mtv as much now has no music on latley,i only watch one program i like on mtv and that it.

Not to mention loads of annoying ring tone adverts!

God I hate them!!!

There's at least 18 diferent music channels, can you not get them all? I thought if you got one, you got them all, anything from wall-to-wall alternative music to metal channels, plus oldies and obscure urban stuff.

The ads for ringtones though......they drive me up the wall too! :mad:

Yes there are loads of channels but i would like to be able to put a channel on and leave it on without having to watch 25 mins of adverts every hour :?

Take away all the non music related shows that are on and you are left with not a lot of music choice IMO.

Agreed I no longer watch any of the music channels as there are simply to many adverts,no problem with adverts but on the music chsnnels they are just far to often and they are so anoying

Dont get me started on the phone downloads adverts still amazed that in this digital high tec age peple pay money to download music to there phone which sounds like it is being played back on a 30 year old tinny transister radio.

Yeah the silly phone adverts are mega annoying!

Seems to me that you'd be hard pressed to find anything but programming vaguely related to music on channels such as MTV and VH1, hence the need for them to spawn MTV2, MTV Hits, MTV Cattle, MTV Clogdancing and MTV Tripe.

I've had a novel idea. How about opening a music channel that plays different music all day and night and promises to not repeat any song twice in that 24 hours and has only 12 minutes of adverts every hour (3 minutes every 15 minutes).

I'd watch it :wink:

It's the adverts that drive me really crazy on those channels, especially anything to do with phones. There are certainly more shows on there than there ever used to be.

I normally end up putting on the Music Choice channel (think it's called that anyway) or one of the radio channels like Mojo.
