I am thinking of upgrading my ram I currently have 256mb. I have done a scan and it says I can have up tp 1024mb I have 2 slots 1 free slot I was wondering if I could remove the 256mb so I could put 2 512 mb of ram

Yup - likley to be DDR-RAM (Double Density Rate)
