Ghozer 14-01-2006, 17:37 usually, the Windows ME CD Rom is bootable, so you would backup all your info from your drive, place in the CD, and boot your computer from CD (you may need to alter the boot device in the bios for this) During the setup procedure, it has a 'format' option (which clears your drive) IF you dont have a Windows ME cd, I'd suggest going out and purchasing one, or atleast a copy of XP (depending on your system specs) I know bootable CD roms started at "Windows 98SE" and every version of windows since has supported CD rom booting... Alternativly you can download a boot disk(s) set from http://www.nerdlabs.org/bootdisks/ Get the right one for the system you want to run (what version of windows) Create a boot floppy (or set of) and boot from that... the boot floppies have the format tool on them, as well as other diagnostic tools... :) IF you need any help, just drop another reply and someone will help you :) Bikertec 14-01-2006, 17:37 Originally posted by sneaks how can i clear hard drive so i can start a new.
