Quite rightly so, people are being fined for throwing cigarettes out of their car windows.

Now I smoke the odd cigar and have on occasion thrown it out the window. My "justification" for this is that it is biodegradable unlike a cigarette filter as it simply a leaf, no more no less.

Interested in other peoples opinions.

Am I bad?

It’s the same way (I assume) food is litter, i.e. if you throw a Big Mac on the floor you could be fined even though it’s biodegradable.

The technical term for litter is "Carelessly discarded refuse" so that could cover anything!

We need a stamp-down on litter and criminal damage - I don't want to see my area (nor yours - ;) ) full of criminal damage and general crapness!

some dead leaf is litter? If you just ground it up and abit and threw it out of the window no one would know.

Unless you were the car behind.

I'm with you on this one, I smoke rollups which after a small amount of rain turn into nothing. It's all about the money.
