matt1889 13-01-2006, 11:19 Yes PIgs!
Please keep voting as Wednesday are complete and utter S**t, and the only chance of staying afloat are if you win this Sh**ty little competition to get them an half decent player!
I reckon that allen of yours could select a set of dogs from His Owlerton track and put them in the first team squad, and they'd play a lot better!
Your S**t, and you know you are!
Obviously, when your splashing out on £1million and £2million pound signings like we are geared to do these days, a stupid little 250,000 players isnt upto it! lol
i'm sorry matt but exactly who have you bought for £2,000,000
matt1889 13-01-2006, 11:29 I said we are gearing up to do so! Weve allready splashed a million out on Ifil in the last yr and are looking at paying 2 million for jerome! £1.5 up front followed by a further 500.000!
I mean lets face it, You are a team who stayed in the premiership for longer than us, and achieved some good positions in both the leagues and the cups!
Go bk 5 yrs and you held a better financial position than us, but these day we are in a better financial position than you!
Our spending over the last 3 yrs has'nt been brilliant, yet far better than yours! lol

Wasn't Ifill £800,000? From what i've heard from you lot he's not exactly set the world on fire.
Good luck anyway if your splashing out on big money players. Been there, done it, got the debt. Hope your board aren't as reckless as ours were. Oh wait though United will be fine coz they're building a hotel/casino/chinese takeaway at the Lane so that'll finance it all.
Oh but of course matt1889 won't be 'Entering like mad' as quoted from the blades thread :D
matt1889 13-01-2006, 12:13 Its not the player that I want for the club, lol
Its just the fact that I want sum sort of respectable voting count on the Coca Cola site, lol
After all, dont want to have less votes than Crewe or Brighton, lol
But at the end of the day, its just banter innit, lol

What's that sound....
Is it machine gun fire....
Oh it's just the sound of matt1889 being shot down in flames :D
Nah i understand it's banter, after years of dishing it out we've been getting it back in spades over the past five years. Don't worry though we'll eventually reclaim our rightful place and i can get mi own back :)
matt1889 13-01-2006, 13:00 I dont usually take middle ground on these kinda subject, but i must have the cold or summat, cos ive lost the will to banter today!
But i'll end it on middle ground!
"At least were not Leeds fans"

Exactly!
And who knows next week we could be helping you extend that gap by beating Leeds again :D
matt1889 13-01-2006, 13:20 That would be a nice prospect!
After all, I must admit that Dirty Leeds licking our heels has made me a little nervy about the whole thing! (promotion)
Matt
Wednesday 450+ votes ahead of L**ds now

Matt
why??
Leeds are 11 points behind us yet we are only 7 behind reading- we should be concentrating on beating them- they both have got to come to the lane yet!!!!

Oh yeah i forgot, Man City are one of those small rural clubs aren't they? Major upset today then beating their HUGE neighbours in front of nearly 50,000. Nice of you to compare us to that :D
Still it's always nice to see another example of what is known as B.I.C.
Blades
Inferiority
Complex
I'll not bother getting into a "my clubs bigger than your club" argument because there is no argument anyway.

You pillock!
While we were going out and spending £4.8 Million on
Mr Di Canio you were scratching around after £100,000 players... Mind you, Sheffield United fans have always been great at forgetting the past. It's whats kept you going over the past thirty years. Anyway money or no money; we will always have the one thing United fans crave...
Respect.

Annoni_mouse 15-01-2006, 13:11 Just going back to the original topic,am I reading the rules correctly?
As far as I can see,it dosnt actually matter which team gets the most votes as the winner is drawn at random?
Im sure on the website it says that Brighton were in seventh position when they won the last one?Or am I just reading it wrong:confused:

It's not necessarily the most votes it's just that you'll have a better chance of winning the more votes you have once the draw is made. Put it like this, basically us and Leeds have bought thousands of lottery tickets hoping that we'll win but when the draw is made it could be a team with just one lucky ticket!
its also about pride finishing top whilst giving us a good chance of winning, Leeds are now ahead of us
Come on Owls keep voting
Vote with everyones e-mail address you know
Lets finish above the L**ds scum
www.coca-colafootball.co.uk
BUMP
Leeds now 900 in front :(
Leeds ONE THOUSEND in front
come on Owls Vote!

Lester_Bigot 01-02-2006, 10:35 I heard a rumour.
Paul Sturrock is planning to put a spanner in the works to the Blades promotion hopes.
Hes planning to sell United some Wednesday players.
Sheffield Wednesday's strikers are about as much as a Donkey at the Grand national
boboskins 01-02-2006, 17:53 I should have said Man City had the MASSIVE CLUB syndrome
Oh is it summat your club can catch? Good job United are immune from catching it then.
candablade & Lester_Bigot two shining examples of Blunt mentality :hihi:
