Ok, I have been so busy this year I have let myself go abit. My hair is now a complete mess and makes me look like an old lady as it is too long and flat :(

Trouble is I am not to sure which hairdresser to get my hair cut for me also I have no idea about cost.

Most I have ever paid for a haircut is £7 which gets me a cut that looks smart, but not exactly cutting edge.

I am looking to get short textured fluffy spikes, bit punky/skatie like.

Anyone reccommend a place I could get this done and approximate cost?

I go to Creator on West Street.

I pay roughly £27 for a cut and blow dry but I get a 20% student discount if I go during the week.

If you go try and get Samantha, she's very good.

I go to Brownes on Division Street. If you're looking for something a bit more punky I think Hair by Christmas in Broomhill go in for funkier styles (? can anyone back me up here)

You could try Betty tigers on Infirmary Road, opposite Safeways. I always go there. They are great for normal or alternative styling and are great price wise too. They are part of Hair by christmas....see above.

I've gone past Betty Tigers a few times and keep thinking I'll pop in and see if they are any good.

I do like Creator but they are a bit pricey especially if i have a colour aswell. Ideally I'd like to find somewhere reasonably priced but still does really good haircuts.

I might pop in tomorrow and get a price list.

The thing I like about Betty Tigers is that they actually listen to what you want doing. They may suggest things but will only do what *you*want. It's a really cool, chilled place to go, even just for a cuppa and a natter. But then maybe I am biased as I did some modelling for them!! Give it a go!

Ok thanks for all the advice, a few places to think about then. Betty Tigers seems to be the best from everyones opinion at the moment :)
