Decent district. :) medusa 12-01-2006, 20:18 Not sure what current rents are in Walkley, but I used to live near the Florist, and walked and cycled regularly to Hillsborough, Crookes, the university and Broomhill. I was young and very fit at the time, and it's not the kind of thing I'd recommend if you don't have good mobility, but there are buses every 10 minutes over Crookes if you aren't up to walking (the 52 leaves from close to the end of South Road every 10 minutes). I liked living there, and moved only down near Hillsborough Barracks when I graduated and bought my house. danum 12-01-2006, 20:33 We live in Walkley and its really nice and quiet. We have a 3 bed terrace and pay 550 per month which isn't quite so fab :( . |
