Sent me to Hooton. Theres a number of ponds there near the old rugby grounds opposite the Hooton Lodge Country Inn

Elm Tree Farm Fishery, near Kilnhurst & Hooton Roberts

bigger pond has a lot of stockie carp I'm told, my father-in-law fished the smaller pond which is said to hold the bigger fish & never had a bite all morning so he'll not be going back

The other point to note, they've now opened up access to the River Don from this fishery & I hear some good barbel have been caught

never fished it but i have the river there is some nice barbel comeing out of that strech . he did a lot of work to the horse shoe pond which has now been done most of the big fish are in the small pond i did here they allso got out of the big pond a eel , the cafe is spot on food is good and the cupa even better , not a bad place there is a small tackle shop opening on the place too , give it a go have a walk round first chat to th lads that fish it regular pick up the tips you should be ok
