Is Steel City Gym still open?
I don't have a clue if it is, not been able to get in touch with anyone.

Yeah I thought that but I have heard a few people talk about it being open at certain times etc..

Anyone know of any other places to hire with sprung floors and things to vault? Crash Mats etc. ?

Shame about that :( I used to go to the University gymnastics club there before it was closed down (not for very long though unfortunately). Was a great place!

I think the gym at hallam is still open but only for supervises things.

It was the Sheff uni gym sessions, not Hallam - was a few years ago mind. They were cut off due to lack of funding about 6 months after I started.

yes it is still open its on saturdays 10_12 i think.theres one round corner from it calld the workhops on little london rd its a good 1 my daughter goes there.

My brother was a member of the Steel City Gym on Broadfield road in part of the old dairy. Around 3 or 4 years ago, and it shut without warning. And the owners couldn't be found. He was really annoyed about it.

It is actually still open. We go once every week now for 2 hours. :)
