just been for a few hours stick floating on the don near where i live. having fished four or five swims for 20 mins each, i got to one of my favourites. the bank was littered with empty sweetcorn tins, plastic bottles, chocolate wrappers and other debris. the dirty b******s had even left the home bargains carrier bag they'd brought it in! how much effort does it take to gather your rubbish up at the end of your session? it took me seconds to collect their crap which i took home and placed in my bin.

there is a lot of people that leave litter instead of just putting it in the bins supplied. last sunday i found a big bundle of fishing line, how stupid is that, they just don`t care.:rant:

well said good thread, its prob just the school holidays
Have to agree with Charliewag, sometimes the banks are disgusting, i've often gathered other peoples garbage up before setting up as I can't sit with it strewn all around
It goes in the bin with my rubbish when I get home, there's nowt hard about it so I can't see why these idlers don't take it themselves:loopy:
Biggsy..

no it`s not just the school holidays, it`s all year round some people are just lazy dirty sods, just can`t be bothered to take rubbish to the bins provided, or take it home
where I fish the don fly tipping is a real problem, many's the time I've pulled into the car parking area to see old ovens/fridges/microwaves/tv's and even settee's
the river up there (Deepcar) is often strewn with rubbish, carrier bags, traffic cones, there's even part of a car body in one swim!
It was so bad last winter that I've decided I'll be fishing for grayling elsewhere this winter!
