Saw Chubby on his tour last year when he had just recovered from cancer, he was much more subdued and mellow than usual. Thought that would be his last tour as he was pretty emotional at the end, Sheffield has always been a big venue for him.

Great to see he is still doing the rounds but his act is now quite different to the old days. Still loads of c**** and f****** but the joke content is now PC. Nowhere near as funny as he used to be but could still blow away most of the modern comics. Mark Thomas comes to mind. Funny? I don't think so.

I saw him last year when I was on holiday for the first time and both my boyf and me thought he was great.

It does not take great wit and intellect to come up with 'jokes?' that contain very little else but swear words and abuse.
