i have fished the don may time and only had trout,chub,grayling,mino... i was just thinking does any one know what els is on ther thanks

Bream, Barbel, Tench (not many), Roach, Rudd, Pike, Perch to name a few :)

I'd be surprised if there aren't a few carp as well after the floods in 2007.

yeah, Elm Tree Fisheries in Kilnhurst lost all theirs in Don 2007. some 20lb.

there were plenty of carp in the don before the floods - some big ones too

in don ive caught:
Bream, Hybrids, Roach, Dace, Gudgeon, Minnows, Rudd, Perch, barbel, crucian carp, common carp, trout, grayling, chub

I've seen pike but not caught any

I know a stretch with several golden orfe too!

yeah - i've seen orf and goldfish in the river too, lots of orf around thurgolland/tin mill - espec after the floods

i once got a vespa out of the don does that count ?

i once caught a tampon - not nice

I am going to try the weir pool below Sprotborough Falls this week. It's only a couple of miles from where i live. There have been Salmon spotted here trying to navigate the falls upstream. Will have to be there early though, very popular pog..

when i caught it there were 2 rapalas and 1 abu toby. i got it on double caster.
